New to buzznet and still confused...

But it's all good because I got a cool LATE PRESENT from the mom. Gotta luv the mom. Now I'm typically the worst person to shop for because I'm the only child, and WE ALL KNOW WHAT that means... I'm spoiled... Selfish? Not as much as I used to be... I work hard to get what I want, which makes it hard to get me anything because if I want something I work to get it. So usually, people end up getting me something generic like a gift card which is fine by me. This Christmas that passed, I got some surprisingly creative gifts. My cousin made me an official GUILTY PLEASURES box decorated with the boooooys I swoon over, some tangible others not so much EH HEM PATRICK STUMP. Actually, I take that back. My cousin did buy me Patrick Stump... The FIGURINE! Lol... That's tangible. If I can't make the real one luv me, I'm pretty darn sure I can make the plastic toy drool. Lol... So back to this great gift. So I have been debating about upgrading my camera, and I get in this phase whenever I become concert hungry. And let me tell you I've been glutenous with the concerts. HOLY SH*T! Every week since the beginning of the year, I have been to a concert/show. RIDICULOUS! Now I luv my camera. It definitely captures the moments, but it's one of those cameras that captures great friend moments or party moments. It's a Canon SD500... It's pretty snazzy and fairly new, but when it comes to concert pics it's a bit subpar. As you know, the only REAL GOOD CAMERA to have for any concert is a SLR. You also probably know that being able to bring a professional camera to most shows and not having a camera pass is an extremely low probabilty. So, what is the next best thing? Well if you're a good photographer then a basic digital is all you need, but if you have money to spend and time to review a manual GET AN ADVANCE DIGITAL preferably something with an optical zoom of X10 or higher. My dilemma fell into which one to buy though. So many options. So many vague reviews. It finally came down to four names Kodak Easy Share, Canon, Olympus, and Sony. Kodak gets a shout out cause it's freakin' user friendly. Any moron can operate it. Problem is the image stabilization is poor. And most pics come out blurry. The canon also fell a tad bit short. The Olympus it's a great choice, but every store I went to didn't have one out for me to play with. I don't like ordering things like electronics online. I prefer to know what I'm ordering because I hate returning things. The Sony then was another option. I was hesitant with Sony, because I was a Sony user for many years till I just realized I was buying not for quailty but mostly for name brand. I had an old cybershot when digital cameras were coming out, and it definitely fell short; however the next version of cybershots were phenomenal according to my PERFECTIONIST good friend. Also, Sony tends to have this APPLE COMPLEX to which you must buy all things Sony. Each accessory must be Sony compatible which gets extremely tedious and G*Y! After careful researching, and playing with each different camera minus the Olympus.... I ended up falling for the Sony. Problem was... the Sony was out of my range for now, because I'm saving for a MAC PRO! Yes... I'm GOING MAC! Anyway... as I kept gawking at how amazing this camera remained after numerous times of shooting this camera my mom so slyly whispered to me "Get it. It's yours. Merry Christmas." ROCK ON MOM! I'm so EXCITED! I have two shows next week to use this for. I CAN'T WAIT! Well... I better start my reading on this new toy of mine. YA!
